Gau: Tibetan Portable Altar, 20th Century No.1

Each Gau, 'Earth touching Buddha' is unique and carries bits of prayer scarves, Bodhisattva symbols or statues and/or other precious items inside. In this fashion a nomadic Tibetan will always have a bit of the sacred with him or her. Found during a recent pilgrimage.

Size: 3.5” tall x 3” wide and complete with traditional carrying case.
