Jambhala Statue: Bodhi of Wealth, Tibet, 20th Century

Jambhala, (Tibetan; Dzambhala) is the Tibetan Bodhisattva of Wealth and a member of the Ratnasambhava Jewel family. He is the symbol of wealth and riches. In his left hand he holds a mongoose which he squeezes to produce jewels from its mouth. A Bodhisattva wants to relieve suffering, mentally, physically and spiritually, even everyday suffering. “If wealth will make them temporarily happy, then let them be wealthy”.

Made of copper that is gold burnished. This rupa has been activated in ceremony which 'opened' his eyes with silver. He has a very beautiful and powerful presence.
