Guru Rimpoche, Padmasambhava(lotus-born one);
founder of the Nyingmapa school of Tibetan Buddhism; a Vajraguru. He was instrumental in establishing Buddhism within Tibet in the 8th century and is adept in the psychic powers engendered by Tantric meditation. Believed to be an emanation of the Buddha Amitabha he is well versed in all aspects of Buddhism, medicine and astrology. Working through logic, reasoning, psychic power and his ability to manifest in different forms he transforms dark energies with the Dharma. He is empowered with knowledge and compassion and through mediation he introduces us to the level of consciousness embodied in the Tantric deities.

Hand painted in remarkable detail by a honored family of generational Thangkas painters in Pokhara, Nepal. It required months of devotional work with very fine brushes to complete; average size 28.5 inches high x 24.5 inches wide.
