Manjushri Bodhisattva , Bodhi of Wisdom:
Meditating on Manjushri bestows serene withdrawal from the cares of the world. We may still act within it, but we no longer have expectations of it; so it no longer disturbs us. With wisdom comes total contentment and self-sufficiency.
In his right hand, (the male side, symbol of compassion), he holds the flaming sword that destroys ignorance; in his left hand, (female side, symbol of wisdom), he holds the book of transcendental wisdom on a lotus flower.The book is a volume known as the Perfection of Wisdom in 8,000 lines, and belongs to a important class of literature known as, Prajnaparamita.
