The sound of the Ganta (bell) is regarded as auspicious in Tibet; it is used to drive away negative attachments. The Ganta represents wisdom, the feminine principle. It’s consort is the Vajra which represents the compassion of the Buddha, the masculine principle. To achieve enlightenment, these two principles must be combined. This is a powerful and ancient set with detail worn by devotional use. It carries the ‘star’ markings inside; unusual for it’s size. - dimensions: 7” tall x 3.5” diameter - (09/07#18) - larger photos are available
